Vikings on the beach

Can you "vikings" out there give me some feedback on which is better on the beach please. A v5 or a v6?

Probably the V6 as it has discrimination and an all important re-tune button. The 5 will reach greater depths than the 6 but that would be its only advantage on the beach I would think.

KellyCo aluminium sand scoop imported from the USA at great cost but is the best single item ever purchased for the beach. Weighs about 2 lbs and there is still nothing to touch it built in the UK.

I had the viking 5 for a few years paid for its self and for a garrett ace from the dry sand but a bit unstable on the wet sand. If the tide was out it would work on the damp sand as long as you did not get too close to the water.
