For XP MI-6 users.

Post by Easylife » Tue Jan 02, 2018 1:09 am

I currently use the Garrett carrot on level 3 in silent mode along with the Deus and WS4's. I have never been entirely happy with the carrot but it does the job. The MI-6 appears to have virtually identical performance from what I can tell but with more modes and levels of adjustment. If I had one I think I would still prefer to use it independently in silent mode as I often just reduce the clod over the coil for small targets. I would of course try it paired up for the experience, but don't think it would suit my style. So would one suit me any better than the Garrett carrot or just the same?

It has of course the ability to give the user a visual display and to home in on a find. ::g Jerry.

Ps They only need charging up once in many weeks for most folks.

I've found mine not as sensitive as G carrot. I run it at 45 . The carrot I keep altering the sens on it to tooo easily. On the plus side the mi 6 the noise is direct to your phones if u have a dues obviously. But i keep forgetting to turn it off and recheck the hole or spoil with the detector and think hu can't get it, where's it gone . Du turn probe off. Batterys last well and just top up whenever and a indicator on the screen too. So plus s and minus s( just watched Gary's instruction vid on mi 6 maybe be about to run it at 50 then press prob button to stop falsing so happy days may hopefully get another inch out of it or so. Cheers Gary!!! )

Jbm. ...... I'm the same if it's not a dues day it's a carrot day.

Unless you are going to pair it I'd stick with what you already have. If you are replacing it then I think it is worth considering as I find it is as sensitive as the Garrett and more adjustable, really well made and, of course, rechargeable. Is it worth another £10-20? That's up to you to decide.
