Do airlines allow flight with Equinox?

Post by Pav » Thu Oct 10, 2019 7:36 am

Can you fly with machine in hold luggage?
Can you fly with machine in carry on luggage?

Not sure of the battery technology, and if allowed.
Short haul and long haul please?

I am assuming it’s a rechargeable unit?
Is there a replacement alkaline battery holder available?

Thankyou.

Check with the airline first but the general rule seems to be that it is OK to take Li batteries (coils, headphones, control units) in hand luggage, but NOT in hold luggage.

I have taken my nox in hold baggage last year on a short trip and plan to do again this year, they do have certain rules but think it only applies to laptops, every time i have taken a MD control unit in hand luggage it give me problems with security i only take loose batteries in hand luggage. If you had a big XP coil with internal batt. you would not take it in hand luggage. But thats my thinking if you can get some sense from Airlines on this subject good luck. beachboy70 :E :E

Have a read of this -https://www.caa.co.uk/Passengers/Before ... n-baggage/

You really do need to talk to whichever airline you are flying with and look at the rules for the country you are flying to - it varies, but there is a consensus that Lithium-ion batteries are a no-no in hold luggage.
