So you're not in a vehicle which you could charge it from the cigarette lighter socket via USB?

It is supposed to have been designed to charge that way but I've never tried it. ::g

It really should not bother a healthy car battery at all. A car battery is say 45 to 70 AH and I guess your detector may use about 2 or 3 AH in total to charge after a days detecting. Some USB car chargers are only rated at 500ma,so better to get one rated at about 2amps for faster charging. ::g

Some cars only charge while the engine is running.

I would go with the power bank if I was you. No way would I leave something in my car for a couple of hours with the key in the ignition.

Handy to have for charging phone if away from home, at least you can lock your car up while it charges.

I got myself a solar powerbank with two usb ports says 300000 mAh but i doubt its that powerful, seems decent enough rated output 2.1A, So easily compatible with the nox. Tried it on my tablet and was suprised how quick it charged it. Also with it being solar it will recharge in your car or as you carry it around on the supplied carabina. Search Flea bay for solar power bank, cost £13:99.

Hope this is useful.

I plan to use my car cigarette lighter port with usb adapter. I've used this with other detectors in the past with no problem. If you need to have a TRULY portable power source, I would think the 'brick' used to recharge computers and mobile phones (high capacity recharger) would easily work. It is represented to recharge a computer or other devices 3 times without needing a power recharge.
