Carry bag - Equinox

Post by SuperRed » Mon Jun 18, 2018 12:57 pm

Hi
I'm looking for a soft carry bag for the Equinox which is long enough to avoid collapsing the machine. Unfortunately, I don't live near any of the shops and a couple of calls didn't really give me the answer.
I only have one permission where the bag would be useful, but I don't want to have to reassemble the machine. I realise 'fully assembled' depends upon user height, but I could live with just shortening the length rather than completely disassembling.
Any advice pls?

Hello 'SuperRed' It may well make it easier to locate a suitable 'bag', if you collapse the stem as you suggested, make a note of the 'new' measured length (adding a bit to allow space for sundries and using these parameters, make an internet search and follow-up the results. I will be surprised if this doesn't produce several practical options for your 'carry bag' ::g Carry-on 8-|

One of my new permissions involves a bit of a walk past through a public area from the car Fred... just wanted to avoid attention ("are you treasure hunting?", "have you got permission?", etc.). I had a bag for my Fisher years ago, but the I don't want to keep unlocking the cams on the Nox.

Google Extra Large Air Rifle Bag. Plenty of choice but there is one under £13 (new) on a well known auction site that is 30cm x 85cm.

I have used Many types of bags over the years. When l had my AT pro l used a camping chair bag it was long and the pro went in fully assembled with a strap to carry in on my back. These days l have the Deus which is a lot smaller and use a tennis bag which is perfect. You could always make one ?

Many thanks for the suggestions folks. I did think about a roll-up fishing holdall. I usually just pop it in the back of the car with the dogs (as Fred indicates), but for the reasons above I want to keep it discreet in public areas.

Relating to the other thread re ML service: I thought the ML bag looked quite small in the photos and tried to establish the dimensions, which aren't mentioned in the ads. Two calls to UK dealers and they were very helpful, but didn't have the information on their stock systems. A quick look at the ML site and no mention of dimensions. Finally had a chat online with a US dealer who told me it is 54" long, which would be fine for me. Surely the dimensions of the bag is basic info?

Cheers

Brad, which bag was this? Sounds like exactly what a need too.
Thanks, Tim.

Hi Tim
I can't remember the guy I spoke to on 'live chat', but I also saw the dimensions here: https://www.bigboyshobbies.net/minelab- ... g-ctx-3030
Just to note though, I also saw it listed as 45" on another site. Best check with someone like Joan Allen to see if they would measure it definitively for you. I will probably do that before I finally buy one.
