WM08 Module

Post by Trickieshep » Sun Jan 06, 2019 7:45 pm

Does anyone use the WM08 module wired to the supplied Minelab headphones.

I have been using them this way rather than via bluetooth, found their to be little or no delay between sweeping over the object and hearing it which I get when using bluetooth.

I've heard this claim before but never experienced any noticeable delay myself. Even if it happened I can't see how a delay would matter as you'd still get the signal within a fraction of a second and go back and investigate it anyway. ::g

The delay via the WM08 module is 17ms while the BT headphones have a hi speed BT delay of 40ms and the normal BT has 100+ms

You can tell the difference as your sweep has traveled quite a bit (thats a tech term ;) ) or a minimum of more than double the distance between the 17ms wireless as opposed to aptX™ Low Latency of 40ms

I use the WM08 direct to my hearing aids now and notice the lack of delay I had before when using the ML80 supplied BT headphones
