new equinox arrives tomorrow

hi guys
I have an equinox 800 arriving tomorrow any advice for being new to this detector will be very welcome
thanks all
ps never had a minilab detector before but 20 years experience on other machines
mostly detecting on ploughed and pasture but keen to get on the beach

The Equinox is a great little machine. ::g Like most other bits of electronic kit it can look a bit daunting at first and some of the terminology sounds odd. It all quickly gets much easier as you get familiar with it.

If possible get somebody who uses one to show you the ropes as it reduces the learning curve dramatically. If not there are some good videos on Youtube showing what buttons to press and plenty of advive on our forums (thanks Bargeman). This thread is a good starting point:
