I have an equinox 800 arriving tomorrow any advice for being new to this detector will be very welcome
ps never had a minilab detector before but 20 years experience on other machines
mostly detecting on ploughed and pasture but keen to get on the beach

If possible get somebody who uses one to show you the ropes as it reduces the learning curve dramatically. If not there are some good videos on Youtube showing what buttons to press and plenty of advive on our forums (thanks Bargeman). This thread is a good starting point:
