15" coil for nox

Post by Doyoudigitman » Wed Jan 09, 2019 1:48 pm

Hi folks
Just a quick question.
I am thinking of buying the 15"coil for the equinox.
Firstly is there any extra depth.
Secondly do you lose any sensitivity to small halves and quarters?
Thanks
Raymond

Extra depth depends on soil condition, I can't say I have noticed any discernable difference, but the extra ground coverage is worth the money.

As for the cut halves and quarters, I don't find enough to shout about, but since using it I have noticed it does hit some very small items, so have no doubt if I were to swing over a small section of hammy, that it would give me a signal. I am sure others will comment, but I like the way the new coil works.

The extra coverage is the key. ::g

I haven't had a huge amount of time with the EQX15 yet, but the above certainly mirrors my thoughts.

I have a Henry III cut half in the test bed at 7", and it hits that, so I certainly wouldn't worry about missing small targets ::g

The large coil has become my coil of choice with the Response Speed increased to 4 to aid pinpointing. My opinions about it are in the link:

In air it gets another inch or so on the stock coil. I got a cut 1/2 second time out with mine so it can find them.
