Large Fossil

Post by Dave The Slave »

This was found a few years back while beach combing and had fallen from a cliff on the Jurassic coast. The cast from the footprint of a larger swan type wading bird ?
Image
9'' ,long, 2" span at heel, 7" span at toes.
Did try to send this to the BBC when they had the 3 night broadcast live from Charmouth a few weeks back but had upload problems.
Mrix saw this in a reply to his Fossil find, prior to launching the Fossil section.
Thanks for looking,
Dave.

Could it be a print from a Gallimimus, a herbivore about 4 metres long? I've shown a print from it, but I've run out of pics allowance for today, so can't show the dino itself! Apparently they were running around the South Coast.
