Hi everyone, hope ive posted this in the correct place. I havent been out detecting yet, just been doing my homework about it all and now feel ready to go out.
Is it possible to get a machine for as little as £150 that will give me a chance of finding anything.

Yes - there are a few and, if you go second hand you can get an even better machine. There are lots of people who start this hobby and give up quickly giving you the opportunity to get a bargain :D

hi,
yes £150 could get you a.secondhand machine worth taking out.
you could get a garrett euro ace or something from a good maker like c scope.
at that price range second hand is the only option.
good luck
