Calne Wiltshire newbie
Calne Wiltshire newbie
Hi all, had a metal detector when I was kid and found loads of coins which got me into coin collecting back then, fast forward 40yrs (marriage, kids, running a business) how time flies- and I am just about to embark on new adventures, just bought an XP Deus and looking forward to finding lots of trash with a few odd bits of gold thrown in for good luck, I hope to be a contributor on here and will probably look to set up a local club as Trowbridge is my closest and has restricted numbers and is at capacity.
Ive put up a buddy request for my area if anyone is interested.
Forum is great and was instrumental in helping me decide which pole to get.

Welcome to the forum, good luck with the finds and well done in taking the initiative to set up a club
I'm sure many of us have had the same of experience of looking after kids/parents plus work pressure but come out of the other side with time to do what we enjoy (and maybe some money in the bank to buy some nice gear!)

I'm still burning you'll never put the spark out in my soul

First time out with my deus yesterday, and I found 3 used tubes of bongela, two small metal tubes and a large piece of iron mongory.
Oh and a very bad back now with all the digging, I think I need to go out with a fellow deus user to understand what I’m doing.

Switch to deus fast ... dig everything between 60-94 ... and only dig the sweet tones ... I would be surprised if you dont get more than another bad back. Good luck. The baron wrote: ↑Sun Apr 15, 2018 9:34 pmFirst time out with my deus yesterday, and I found 3 used tubes of bongela, two small metal tubes and a large piece of iron mongory.

Imagine there is no heaven, only sky above us.

Ive only got the lite, so am going by tones only, old school style, lol.
Bought a new spade today, so I don’t have to bend as much, might invest in a pointer too.
