Hi - newbie looking for help in central Scotland

Post by Lucyhigginsxo » Mon Jul 09, 2018 1:18 pm

Hi I’m new to this group, I’m looking for help!! I have horses and one of them has lost a shoe in the field, the field is not large but I have been unable to find the shoe, these can be dangerous so I am really looking to see if anyone is able to help me locate it in the field? The land is based between Bo’ness and Linlithgow area. Also looking to know if it is possible to find a lost shoe using a detector
Thanks

Hi Lucy,
As long as the horseshoe is metal, it should be able to be found with a metal detector. Have found them at 12 inches deep. Last one broke my trowel, so that was definitely not Lucky.
Sorry can`t help as I live on the South coast but there are MDF members who live in Scotland, so hopefully someone can help you.
All the best
Dave.
