New Years resolution.

Post by Wlz » Tue Jan 01, 2019 9:22 pm

Hi All, I'm Tony (from Bedfordshire) new to the whole to the MD world, went out new years eve, on a come and see how you get on hunt with a few people from work, now got the bug! Any pointers where to start would be great. EG: Good starting machine which ones to avoid (don't be fooled by flashy knobs and controls) etc, any local clubs?

Happy hunting for 2019

Tony

Tony sincere apologies I missed your post, and it looks like others did too.

So firstly welcome to the MDF and metal detecting as a hobby. To get some pointers on buying a metal detector, and to find out more about this forum you might want to read this guide.

On finding places to detect it can be easy or difficult depending on luck, who you know, where you live, etc. However joining clubs is almost always hard. This hobby has become very popular and most clubs are full. But if you can go to their meetings as a visitor a few time and are willing to help out and get involved joining becomes a lot easier. I’m sure someone will help you with one nearby, or try Google ::g

Hi
Beware-metal detecting is highly addictive...
Sounds like it may already be too late :D
If so you are in the right place.
Cheers
