Greetings from Sherwood Forest

Post by Tonino » Tue Jan 08, 2019 8:22 pm

Hello to everyone.
I have just got back into metal detecting after a 15 year break !
My old Whites XLT had a few faults with it when I got it out of its bag, so I decided to start over again with the Minelab Equinox 800, and can't wait to get out hunting again.
Although I won't be posting everyday, I will be reading up on all the posts that are already on the forum.

Yes, its amazing how many people recall the adventures of Robin Hood. I live about 2 miles through the forest from the great oak called the Major Oak, and I would absolutely love to go detecting around there, but unfortunately, I guess the Sherriff of Nottingham would throw me in the cells at Nottingham castle if I got caught 😀😀

Thanks Liam. I feel like a schoolboy whose going up to the big school after the summer holidays!! It's strange, but after all these years of not going out with the detector, I can see places that I missed when I used to go out. I am literally half a mile from the forest and really looking forward to getting started again.
