Newbie. Cheshire/Shropshire border.

Post by Nicho » Thu Mar 14, 2019 9:53 pm

Hi all. Only started a month ago after years of wanting to do it. Really enjoying it. Had loads of scrap, horse shoes, two penny's from early 1900's, a silver sixpence and an interesting bag seal. Oh, and a few pistol shots. Love it!!
My 8 year old is also finding it interesting which I'm pleased about ::g

Welcome to the forum...

I've only just started myself, but I am finding it gets quite addictive!

Where abouts on the Shropshire Cheshire border are you? There is *alot* of history in that area so you are in a prime location...

If you decide to go knocking doors at farms ect, don't forget to take your son as nobody likes to disappoint kids! lol

In-between Nantwich and Whitchurch. Thankfully I know quite a few land owners living in the sticks but a good call regarding taking 'mini me' with me!

Hey Nicho and Son!
I'm not far from yourselves and getting back into the hobby again after a couple of years 'break'.
I'm just outside of Hanley myself, but regularly travel over the border to Cheshire! If you ever fancy a trip sometime, feel free to drop me a PM!

Thanks for that. I'm in the process of getting a bit if permission so at some point I'll meet up. That would be nice. 😎
