Hi all, Newbie from Sussex.

Hi,

Been interested in metal detecting for a long while but never actually tried having a go, so figured it would be a good way to get me out the house and a bit of exercise to. Granted timing is not great with a national lock down but... gives me time to research :P

Any recommendations on websites to go look at and get a decent review ? a few I have looked at have been shot down in flames from the comments left behind specially from youtube reviews.

Anyways I'll go browse the forum and see whats what.

Bungal

Welcome to the asylum, I would avoid Youtube as there are so many rubbish vids mixed in with the good ones. The best place is here, so many people with years of experience and willing to give their
advice. ::g

Hello Bungal, Welcome aboard the forum ::g In view of the current restrictions, the decision to spend time researching the various aspects of the hobby is definitely a sound one.

As already suggested, some claimed 'reviews' are to be viewed with caution! Here's a helpful link which may prove useful as it has been produced with newcomers to the hobby specifically in mind:-
Which Detector

The forum also has a metal detector 'reviews' section which is well worth a look through offering various reviews of the most popular brands and models: Detector Reviews

Good Luck - Regards ss47 ::g
