Hi All, I've just picked up my first detector and was hoping to see if there are any clubs around Wrexham or Mold.
Thank you in advance.

Hi Viv G
A warm welcome to our very friendly and knowledgeable MDF.
Not sure if there are any clubs in your area but it might help taking a look in the Clubs Section of the forum.
There is also the blue panel on the left which is full of information to help you navigate the forum and help you on your journey into the hobby.
Good look finding a club...enjoy the forum
Regards.

Hi - another newbie here in Wrexham - did you manage to find a local group? There's lots of references to groups in North Wales but I can never pin down any actual information before I take the plunge and play with others!

Hello Vic G, A warm welcome aboard the forum
As member Makro 2 states, the blue panel on the left has all the information necessary to ensure a safe start to your detecting journey and you are I strongly advised to spend some browsing time there
There's much to be said for seeking out your own permission from the outset as there's a great deal of newcomers to the hobby already out there to find their own 'permission'.
Here's a 'couple' of links to stuff you really need to know about early in your journey:
The MDF Guide for Newcomers
Important and helpful information
Finding Somewhere to legally use your Detector Any questions arising just ask away as members usually answer promptly.
Metal Detecting Clubs, Facebook Groups and Organised Rally's
Enjoy your use of this huge resource your new hobby and your time in the MDF community![ThumbsUp [81/]](./images/smilies/81_EmoticonsHDcom.png)
Good Luck. Regards Eric
