Hi folks, just introducing myself as a new Detctorist from Worcestershire. Well, did a little bit about 25 years ago or so but nothing serious!
My 7 year old has asked Father Christmas for a detector this year so i ordered one for myself as well
looking forward to finding somewhere to detect and dig up some ring pulls (all i ever used to find when younger)

Hello Blipper, A warm welcome aboard the forum and on your return to the detecting fold
You may need a catch-up to compensate for those 25 yrs but that is easily accomplished with a good browsing through the content of the blue panel on the left
Some knocking on farmers doors remains the most popular (and most successful) method of obtaining your own 'permission' but be aware there are many more newcomers to the hobby now all with the same intention!
There's plenty of help willingly provided by our members so if you do have any questions just ask away.
Enjoy your further browsing, your return to the hobby and of course your time here in the MDF community Good Luck. Regards Eric
