New to the Forum

Post by Adder »

Greetings from Merseyside!

I'm new here and have just upgraded to a Minelab equinox 900. Can't wait to get out and fumble through the settings and try figure it out.

I've mostly been detecting on beaches but it's not really my thing, I'm not really interested in small change and jewellery.
I'm in it for the History and the detective work to find out what things are.

Can anyone give me any tips for detecting on farmland or any scrubland around the northwest? I feel a bit cheeky asking farmers because they must be sick of it.

Any tips and advice would be truly appreciated.

Happy Hunting and thank you for welcoming me.

Thanks

Anthony

Hi Anthony I'm in new to the hobby and forum and in the north West, I've been at it since November and only been detecting farmland, I've had some amazing finds in my opinion and like you said the best part for me is getting home giving them a clean and researching what they are and there history, this forum is amazing for any help and the people are experts on pretty much everything on here, where abouts in the north West are you? All I can say about farm land is put the hours in and never give up and never loose faith in your field, I feel I have been over a certain area numerous times then go over it again next time I'm out and something great pops up.
Good luck. Tom

Welcome!
I'm new here too, don't worry about getting permission, if you put in the work with asking it will soon come. Didn't take me long to just be granted my first 😊
Some great advice I was given is trying places that aren't farms, campsites etc, this proved to be the trick for myself. Good luck!
