Another post from a newbie

Hello all,
Just ordered my first detector today and joined MDF as a way of learning about this new hobble that I've wanted to get into for probably the last 5 years.
I've been putting together a list of the essentials that I'll need to start me off by reading other people's threads on starting out however, I was wondering if anybody has any recommendations for footwear brand during the summer and winter months? I don't mind spending a bit more if they are quality and will last a long time.

May I suggest a good browse through the content of the blue panel on the left where everything you need to ensure a smooth start to your detecting journey is to be found.
