I live in the hills of Derbyshire, where I’m just about to purchase the second detector in my life, the Garrett Ace 250.
I’m used to being out in the open air, where I have interests in Botany, I’ve been producing a local flora, Geology, I collect mineral specimens, Photography, where I gather images for my websites and previously I did a stint in Archaeology for the Derby Museums Service, where as a field walker I developed a keen interest in the history of my area.
Now, although I’m fairly new to metal detecting, I’m hoping to learn a lot from you guys, and in return I can hopefully pass on my experiences to help you
For now, I’m just going to see what you lot have been getting up to in the field, and on this forum.

This is a very new UK forum and we have only been about around 7 or 8 months.
Members are building though and I should be busy during the summer months
Look forward to reading how you are getting along
