Post by cru1z1n » Mon Jul 17, 2017 3:34 pm

Hello MetalDetectingForums my name is mark was handed a metal detector (cheap and nasty bleeper) but its got me hooked ::g got permission from one farmer last week been on one field and found 2 silver sixpences which are in great condition 1806 half penny very bad condition but able to identify and two shillings both really poor quality. Also found alot of items im unable to identify but they all have me extremely hyped with my new hobby :D cant wait to get out again.

Welcome to the forum.

I was a serious sea fisherman who became a even more serious dirt fisherman

That was a couple of lifetimes ago and at close to 83 the interest in this great hobby takes up a great part of my life.

If you stick at the hobby for many years you will be amazed at the varied finds you will handle.

Happy Hunting.

Jerry. ::g
