Hello 'Martyn' and welcome aboard the forum. The 70's seem a long time ago in terms of advances in Metal Detecting! Have you made a detector choice yet? There is a great deal of information over on the left of this page (sub-forums blue panel) which should soon have you up-to speed with the many changes over the years.
