Post by Mick2709 »

Hi all
My name is Mick, quite a few people in the forum have mentioned about finding a buddy in Leeds and surrounding areas, and there doesn't seem to be a club that is local so if anyone is interested why don't we get together and start one.I live between Garforth and Castleford, If you are interested send a PM and we will have a chat. Thanks for reading

Hi Mick

I've tried to private message you twice but they just sit in my outbox and not sent?

Not sure if you've had any other messages but I'd be interested in meeting up with yourself and anyone else.

Thanks

Sounds great... but how do I join?

I've tried twice via the website, but no confirmation email received or anything, tried email/txt'ing Stuart and thought I'd got through but then nothing happened.

Would love to at least give it a go but struggling to get it set up.

I think I emailed one of the moderators but I can't find anything in my sent items so maybe not...

From my experience on here the moderators are very proactive so if I had sent something I am sure they would have answered.

Are you interested in a 'Leeds' club?

Hello 'Adam17' As I understand it, PM's remain in your 'sent box' until the recipient actually opens them. Think that's still the case. Cheers ss47

When you send a private message on our forums it will sit in your "Outbox" until the person you sent it too actually opens the message.

Hello, there’s our metal detecting club here based in Leeds,it’s called westyorkshire metal detecting club,we have 2 member slots available, sadly we lost 2 members over the years due to ill health,we only allow upto 10 members at a time so that the land we share doesn’t get hammered by bigger numbers like other clubs, every individual is required to share there land with everyone at the club and vice versa, there’s no member ship fees it’s totally free, unless some farmers require a fee,im the vice chairman, along with my friend lawrence who is the founder,he has over 40 yrs exp,get in touch if your interested.thanks in advance.mel

The original poster has not logged in since last April, so I hope someone will feel motivated enough to take over. I have just this week formed another detecting club in Lincolnshire, based on the other club I formed 5 years ago in Norfolk. Its good fun, you can choose who to associate with, as a group you can better search for land and very soon you have monthly club digs, raised cash for charities, linked up with museums and FLO and you are free to operate as you see fit.
