Our club, the three spires, lichfield based. usualy have a wednesday dig if the field we use on a sunday is a productive one, this is,nt always the case but when our chairman negotitiates with the land owner on a known historical area, we sometimes get this added bonus.... for the retired and shift workers its great, and some realy nice finds have come up missed the previous sunday... hh BAZ.

I work weekends too, 4 days this weekend, so im free during the week, once this long weekend is over I will get in touch and we can try and arrange something ;) .

Job today, dig a little UTX (under track crossing) All done by hand, no machinery allowed as close to all the cables.

I was knackered watching them work... and we complain about digging little holes in a nice open field 8-}

Farringdon is one of the oldest LUL stations, so I couldn't help but look through the spoil for old coins and relics, no joy :x|

S&T, nice one fella, those trains sure do look a lot bigger when your on track level and they are passing at 100mph, I do LUL and NWR. Worked all over the country, Forth Rail bridge was the scariest! Cheers for the kind words bud.

Back on track (no pun intended) Jimmy, I would happily jump on an early train to London then up to your neck of the woods for a meet up if you want, and we can compare the rapier to the hawkeye ;o)
