Plus pen and paper to make some notes. If you can consider bringing something along for the raffle, that would also be very much appreciated. If anyone attending has anything they wish to sell then bring it along, could help someone starting out. I am now checking out those who will be giving some talks and sorting out a rough timetable for the day.
Ciao, Liam OooO
Cheers Liam, was meaning to ask if there was going to be a raffle.
Have you applied your Celtic charm to any of the detector supplier/manufactors for a donation.

Hi,
If there are still spaces could I put my name down for the Saturday please? I can only drive down on the day from near Aylesbury, Bucks so if anyone wanted a lift there I would be happy to pick up.

There is talk of a drinky poo Friday night. Is that in a local pub, or is it a bring your own bottle type of drinky poo. I am ok with both, but not to keen to drink and drive.

Hi all,

Despite looking forward to this and an actual inland dig with baited breath, I am now unable to attend.

I would rather let you know now, other than not just turn up!

Sincere apologies and absolutely gutted as was soo looking forward to meeting experienced users with a series of questions I was going to ask, already in my mind.

Trust you all have a fab day and such a fantastic idea.

Now please, after the lessons go find a hoard of gold, a few drinks with friends and create great
memories.

Luke.

Thanks again to you and Liam for organising all this, it’s very much appreciated,

Regards Peter.

Edited to add just found a B&B in Berkley so no wet tents for me now lol

A cold buffet sounds very good, yummy! :d!
We should be out on the fields detecting (to a much higher standard) by 3pm, then everyone is supported by our group of mentors. I think by 5pm there will be a gradual drift off the fields.
The first morning part of the event is crucial, we have a lot to cover and I am especially pleased that we have Keith Westcott speaking at 11am, he will be explaining his Institute of Detecting activity, certainly NOT to be missed. I have not run that timing past Ian yet!
Weather forecast looks promising ::g I have sent out six requests for raffle prizes, Nigel from Regtons has just agreed to send something, fingers crossed with the others.
The day will be as good as we make it. Plenty to discuss and learn but its those attending who will as ever, make it a success or not. We ALL have lots to learn and I am looking forward to what others have to say. The most valuable thing you may find at this event is new friends ::g We all share a common excitement to find buried heritage but along the way we can also find friendships that will last you a lifetime.
Looking forward to meeting you all, Eric and myself will be rolling in early on Friday afternoon hopefully, depending on Friday traffic :-O
