Update for anyone who wants to camp there is a toilet on site which you have access to also I have land available for a dig on friday evening which will be a 4pm meet and brief to start detecting 4.30pm sunset is 8.40pm so should be able to get a few hours in to work up a thirst we will use one of the near by pubs for a get-together and look at finds ect , will have to limit the numbers to 30 max for the friday evening there will be a small charge for this of £5 all money raised will go to charity there will be a prize or 2 for best finds on the evening
The Rally can now be called the Roundtable Newbie Rally as all money raised will go to the local Roundtable which is a registered charity then given to a number of local good causes

Plenty of time yet, but I will draft up a Timetable for the day very soon. We have a fair amount to get through and so we need to make sure each area is slotted in. Pen and paper may be handy for the first part of the day, Liam :;@

Bump for our Saturday audience! ::g
Can I mention that any forum member who has had his/her account deleted in the past will NOT be allowed to attend this MDF event.
Occasionally and very regrettably, some forum members fall well short of the standards of behaviour and decency that makes this forum such a good one.

As for the REST of you, get your names down quickly! Very shortly we will need to invite non-MDF groups if the spaces are not filled first on here. This will be a really enjoyable day of learning and making new friends. Never been done before, so come along and make history, so much to learn, ask questions, check out all sorts of different machines, get expert advice out in the field afterwards and enjoy a few beers after a bit of detecting on the Friday perhaps.
Everyone will be expected to register on time on the Sat morning, but if anyone needs to leave early after that, then thats fine, just let me know.
Will be good to meet up with you all, Liam :;@

Thanks for adding my name to the list Liam. Really looking forward to what should be a great day.
59Velo does indeed refer to a Velocette motorcycle - a Venom Clubman. Are classic bikes an interest of yours?
Been trying to find a metal detecting club around the Derby / Nottingham area. Do you happen to know of any that are taking new members?

Hi John, have fallen off most classic Triumphs, the one to get is the 1968 T120, the perfect styling .. sold my Bonnie a few years ago, started off long ago with a Triumph Cub, then onto the twins from Pre-unit onwards. You will enjoy a chat with Kevin - Bargeman, who has a collection of classic bikes. Chat later no doubt!! Liam OooO
