Agreed, great event - the weather needs to be organsised a bit better this time though. If they could have it rain for the week before and then 2 days of dry, that would be appreciated.
Since it's for a good cause, I will try to make it again - I may even do both days.

Was great to meet up with some regulars for the first time, including Bargeman (who I always remember because of his bike collection l;. )

Great weekend last time and so good to put boats to monickers. On the other hand I've never been so frustrated - so many good finds on such good land but too wet to do anything much about it.

Hopefully better this year.

Oh I do so hope I can come. Meet everyone and so forth. (Though of course I hate jelly beans so I do hope wine gums are allowed.) BTW....What is the gig for 'foreign' detectorists? :)) Do I have to reinvigorate my FID. or NCMD membership?
I will bring Mr Boot along as well so you can condole with the poor long suffering man. :D
Our son lives in the vicinity so with a bit of luck we can bunk up there AND drink HIS booze for a change.
I haven't detected in the UK for 4 years!!

These things usually require NCMD/FID membership number on booking. It did last year.

Wine gums? ::g Oh, I might just be tempted to go, dribble dribble

Very droll, SS47. I doubt we'd all fit through the door of his bijoux residence. But you have a point with the booze....after the volume of our booze he's poured down his throat it would be no more than poetic justice. (Mr Boot still remembers with anguish the occasion when Robert and friends consumed a whole bottle of 22year old Pere Jules Calvados and a bottle of Tsarina champagne in our absence. :E )

And your point is? Nightly occurence in these here parts (after the memsahib's gone up the wooden hill of course).

Very tempting to attend this one, actually. Even if it is the other side of the country.
