This event raises funds for the Bath RUH Cancer Care Unit.

Updated info from the organisers...
The Landowner has owned the land since the early 1980’s and has assured us he has had no Metal detecting clubs, groups or events on his land. There has been a single detectorist in the past who had permission to detect the 1500-acre farm.

There will 800-900 acres of arable land to search this year. Separate Land for Saturday and Sunday. Please note in places some of the fields are on a slight incline

Free Camping (On flattened stubble)/ Hot food & drinks / Hog Roast on the Saturday Night / Licensed Bar /Stone Fired Pizza, Entertainment on both Friday and Saturday night, all in the Main Marquee.
Token Hunt (Saturday), with some great prizes. Once again for our now famous Saturday and Sunday Raffles there will be some top prizes to be won including top of the range metal detectors.

There will be stalls providing a range of metal detecting products.

Just to show how much we all care for you all here at the Rodney Cook Rally, Lisa has worn us down and we can now confirm there will be a 6 bay SHOWER BLOCK (private bays of course) for you all to keep clean and smell lovely!

These are just a few reasons to book your tickets asap!

There will be an area available for Weekend Campers to detect from 2pm on the Friday.

As per the landowner’s instructions no dogs will be allowed except Guide Dogs and No Fires.

Friday - Gates open at 12.00pm (strictly no admittance before 12pm) for those camping for the weekend. The bar will be open and there will be entertainment on the Friday night from 7.00pm. There will also be food available all evening.

Saturday - Gates open at 8.00, briefing at 09.00, detecting starts after briefing and finishes at 7pm There will be food and drinks available all day and evening, and a raffle. The bar will be open throughout the evening and entertainment will be provided. Plus, a Hog Roast for anyone hungry.

Sunday - Gates open at 8.00, briefing at 9.00, detecting starts after the briefing and finishes at 5.00. There will be food and drinks available all day and a separate raffle with lots of great prizes. The site closes at 6pm.

PRICING

FULL WEEKEND TICKET - £55 to include free camping and each weekend ticket holder will be entered into a FREE raffle for an exclusive bonus to win a Top of the Range Metal Detector which will be drawn on the Saturday

DAY TICKETS

Day Tickets will be available for Saturday and Sunday at a cost of £30 per day.

BOOKING PROCESS

When booking, all detectorists must provide current up to date NCMD/FID membership number and the Metal Detecting Code of Conduct will apply for this weekend event and we will follow the Laws of the Treasure Act 1996 there will be a 50/50 split for treasure items and finds from a value of over a £1,000 between the finder and the landowner.

To book your tickets, please email

charitydetectingevent@hotmail.com

Our Last 2 events have both been hailed as being one of the best Detecting Events of that year!!
....and we will certainly be working hard to make it special again this year!!!

But please note - We have no control over the number of finds, condition of the fields or the weather...that will be down to God and him alone...so send any complaints to him please, or your local vicar.... but maybe have a word with him beforehand....it can only help!

Again, may we thank you for all you amazing continued support and we are looking forward to seeing you again this year.

PLEASE NOTE, we are limited to 700 tickets for this event, so you are advised to book quickly. Once booked and paid for, tickets will be non-refundable.

Not sure if I’ll be doing this again this year. I’m getting far too old for these weekenders 😆
XP Deus, 11" X35 coil, WS4 back-phones, remote and an empty bank balance. XP MI 6 pin pointer. Garrett Ace 250 wireless MPow set up.
They told me I’d never be any good at poetry, because I’m dyslexic, but so far I’ve made 3 jugs and a vase.

This rally is filling with staggering speed.

It certainly is a very special event, with all money`s going towards Rodney Cook cancer fund.

I missed last year due to my ongoing illness, but Iam looking forward to this event.

It will be nice to put faces to the many names on the forum. ::g

It will be a 86th Birthday event for me. ;)

Happy Hunting,

Jerry.

I've only gone and signed up for the weekender again. ::g
Note to self - don't forget pain killers for the back.
I assume we'll be having a MDF meet-up again?

Yes I do too, although the first one was still a fantastic event despite all that water.

I do wish it would dry a little though, I tried to go out last week for the first time in ages, but just kept sinking and losing my wellies, but at least it gave the farmer and I a bit of a laugh.
