Aslong as both brothers give permission and you state its a charity in aid of sheffield hospital you will be fine inform the hospital and maybe the local rag.

This FORUM DAY will be open to all forum members. I will have a look at the ins and outs of whether we should be affilliated to FID, NCMD. It all looks to be gathering speed and that is good, but we still have to wait for the official permission from the farmer for a specified Sunday and then we can all make plans for sure. I will be heading north to see crezzi and firm up some details when we have the confirmation. I should be able to post a lot more info after that.
The area seems superb and we should all have a good time, Liam B-)

Without treading on toes, how about each person attending the dig brings along a printed out "invite". No invite, no dig! Simples :D Someone is going to have to check for NCMD or FID id on the day so He/She checks for invites too!

Morning all!

This sounds a very worthy cause, and I'm sure users of this forum would readily support this days detecting. I for one certainly would, I have both FiD and NCMD membership and would love to attend as it's (only) a 118 mile round trip for me. Sadly, me and probably many other detectorists are excluded from many rallies etc due to distance and the shocking price of fuel - what might have cost £15's worth of petrol a while back is gonna cost £30 + now.

Enough waffling!! Yes please, I'd like to come along to this one.

I am not sure if the site works, I am in Yorkshire on Aol and it says I am in London on Talk Talk. It could be me that doesn't understand it.

This is getting complicated now, I don't have a printer and no idea of IP address. How about we post our NCMD card number, a list could be compiled and checked against our cards on arrival? Frank.

Paul, there will always be room for you and your little helper, don't worry about that! ;)
Things are moving along well and pretty soon we should be able to post a lot of info re what the date is, facilities and so on. Looks like there could be a good turnout for the event, so thats good for the charity. I will be meeting up with crezzi later on and we can then make some plans.
As I have originally offered to buy everyone a pint, thinking this would be a small affair for some interested Forum members, I will have to restrict the numbers to just five people ..... only joking! May have to mortage the house to pay for drinks though!
It will be good to put a few mug shots to names, Liam =))
