Fried liver and warm beer... - Ohhh - Think it is going to be sausages on stick and Coffe.. Or you do not have coffe neither.. ;)
Heard you can put a warm beer in a wet sock ( don´t know how we can get them wet) and swing around above the head.. evaporation should cool them down..

This was not the text that originally jumped out of my brain about warm and cold, but had to behave...

Don't be silly John the beer will leak out of the sock while you swing it around =)) Beer is always cold at my house so at the dig we will have to bury it in the ground and put the car over the top of it to keep the sun off and stop those alcoholic detectorists from pinching it. 8-}

-=+:-P
We have a water tap on site, so I imagine there will be a few barrels of cold water in use to keep the beer cold OooO
I went over to the site this afternoon after our NHRG Club Dig and looked at where the camping and parking will be organised. All looks good, plus we met up with the gamekeeper and we went through the maps of the land for each day and agreed all the details.
There is a lot of land, so we need more people to attend. The Norfolk clubs have been invited along and so do spread the word to your friends.
I hope to be able to get to the Fox each night for a meal and some beers, though I don't want to ignore the campers back at the Rally site, plus I have the awful problem of having to be in two places at once - Opening the actual detecting each morning at 9.30am and opening the ECMD Conference each morning at 9.30am in Norwich City.
We have the local scouts providing hot/cold drinks and all sorts of food from 11.30am to around 3pm each day. They may have a generator running which will allow charging of equipment, USB connectors for phones and coils etc.
Pets - the gamekeeper prefers that any pets are kept in the camping/parking area as there are too many bird covers out on the fields. We have a wood around the camping area anyway, so the dogs will be able to have a good wander if they need to if supervised. You cannot start to imagine how difficult it was to get this amount of good land so close to the shooting season.
As always, it will be the people attending who will make everything work, looks like a fantastic group on the list.
The city of Norwich is very near of course and many people will be staying there, so thats another super place to enjoy some food and drinks, it's got everything for anyone, probably a £10 taxi fare.
Ciao, Liam :;@

Hi Robert, our club http://www.norfolkheritagerecovery.org/ has just increased our membership cap to 70 which has cleared half of the waiting list, so click on the club site and send in an application to join if you wish. We have regular Club Digs and meet on the first Monday of the month at the Maids Head hotel in Norwich from 7pm to 9pm.
DRONES - someone has asked if we will allow a drone to take pics etc and the answer is YES. So if anyone wants to bring one along then mention it on here. As long as they are used sensibly I cannot see any probs.
Still some places left on all three days, so don't hang about, Liam OooO

Hi Liam - I've just paid £30.00 for the Saturday and Sunday.

Stupidly, I forgot to include my forum ID with the payment, but it's coming to you from me!

Thanks Barry, I will add you in a minute.
Posted elsewhere on this forum but here is a link to what we should be doing re the recovery/recording of finds on this event.https://finds.org.uk/getinvolved/guides/rallycode
Big concerns that the huge Rallies do not get the finds recorded properly, so we will have a dedicated Finds Tent that will be manned every day. You will be asked to bring in your good finds throughout the day so that they can be logged and recorded, plus placed in the Finds Cabinet for others to drool over and be inspired to get out there and find some themselves. You will be given a ticket for your finds and you then return to collect later, Liam ::g

Up to date list ..if your name is missing or whatever, post on here and we will change the details.
Plenty of room for canvas campers, campervans, trailers as long as I know how many are doing that. We will have some ECMD delegates who are camping and who will need to be driven into Norwich each morning at around 8.45am for the ECMD Conference and some of those may need a lift back to the camping area at around 1.30pm, so I will be looking for volunteers each day. Still plenty of spaces, NCMD/FID cards need to be shown. Plenty of time for anyone to get the NCMD membership and we should all be members anyway as they work tirelessly on our behalf to protect our hobby.
NCMD -https://www.ncmd.co.uk/insurance/
FID - http://www.fid.org.uk/ They are having problems with issuing memberships so its NCMD really if you need insurance in time.

Hi JCM, I will now add your name on those days and Laura is at this moment completing the Fact Sheet. The Rally area contains some very sensitive land that needs protection from any day/night hawks beforehand, so maps of land for each day will be issued on the mornings to each person.
Cheers, Liam
