What a Detector

Post by Detectorbod »

Hi as i new DEUS 2 WS6 owner , thought i would post a few thoughts.
In the first photo is a buckle loop , i could not believe it picked up such a small thing with a good signal on Sensitve FT , no changes , it was an absolute nightmare to find in the mud , it was on the surface somewhere [49/] the other photo is two Tudor glass inlay buttons. But the machine in my opinion is just fantastic , even though i have certainly not learned it properly yet , there is so much to it ! i am glad i switched , bit dubious at first but not now [88/] The deepest find so far was a large harness buckle at least 12 inches down , maybe more [42/] , what a hole that was [49/] Now i have the pin pointer as well paired with it along with the wireless headphones , puck on stem (maybe did not need to set up like that , but for now i like it) All i can say is i am so pleased with it i cant wait to get out [81/]

It's a reasonably good detector the Deus 2 have had mine possibly 12 months or so.and works exceptionally well on highly mineralised ground and of course wet sand as well of course that is when a multi freq machine wins hands down but as a general rule all of my permissions and club digs are pretty mild ground condition wise, but if i am honest i still prefer and use my Deus 1 with the HF elliptical coil on......so my Deus 1 is my everyday use detector running the Hot settings and the Deus 2 as my backup detector.

The recovery speed is what makes the Deus excel on really trashy sites,my Deus 1 is still going strong after 10 plus years.

The tilting control box after market item is a decent gimmick i guess but as i solely use the Deus audio which is far more reliable than any T.I.D and also more reliable at great depth as well.
Equinox,Deus2,Nexus MP,TDI Pro pulse c/w 20'' Mono,Fisher TW-5 twin box and the big fella the Minelab GPX pulse c/w 18'' Coiltek Mono Elite.

Flirt with the dirt, beep, dig, dance....

yes i did the same , it is a machine you do need to get used too , but it is worth it.
I am still learning it , but i do think the best overall program to learn with is Program 1.
It is definitely an audio machine , the iron sound can be a bit confusing , i have dug some small nails that sound good , but all in all takes time to learn what it is telling you. For me it is the weight and comfort to swing all day that i love the most , never have an aching arm [81/]
