DIY long handled trowel

Post by BigMac_13 » Mon May 14, 2018 4:45 pm

We have been using a small garden trowel to unearth all our finds. At the weekend it broke. Ten minutes grinding and welding, we now have a new one. Much better than the old one, I can use it it to lean on whilst he detects. It’s heavy but cutting through the sod is an absolute breeze now. Handle is half inch round bar!

Maybe in a year or two, once my skills have improved. I can make things rigid, very rigid- not quite what you want for a knee
