A great scale to carry with you

Post by Oxgirl36 » Sun Aug 12, 2018 7:24 pm

I bought myself one of these a few months ago. I carry it with me in my finds bag in the hope I can use it one day when I find my first Saxon coin, or Celtic gold or whatever divine thing I have to do an in-field shot of ;))

So far I’ve not used it for that ;;z but I have used it at home for photographing other finds.

They are cheap (under £2), robust, wipeable (they are plastic) and a perfect background for most finds (matt finish). And as they are credit card sized they really are easy to take with you.

Search for credit card black and white photography scale to find stockists ::g

It's beyond comprehension of some people that a scale of any description is needed, let alone to carry one when detecting

Measures are my to be in the same category as rocking horse poo........rare to see

I don't personally OG, but it does look very useful for those who carry a camera (my old Blackberry can just about manage a phone call). I have used a few different methods for scaling finds, but I now use an L-shape 5cm scale that I got for a fiver from Past Horizons. Does the job.

I do now - that's very handy, many thanks for the tip.

(I had to pay £1.95 in postage, which is taking the piss for a sliver of plastic, but never mind.)
