Ipad, tablet and mobile phone users - video guides for cropping, resizing and adding photos

Post by Oxgirl36 » Sun Mar 03, 2019 11:12 pm

Please note that from August 2019 you no longer need to worry about resizing your photos or reducing the file size! Yes honestly :D The forum will do it for you.

So just crop them (so you just get the image you want) and that’s it.

Please note though that the 4 photo per day rule still applies. If you want to add more photos than that then please use a hosting site

Two videos to guide you through the steps.

The first covers cropping, resizing and adding photos directly to the forum.

The second deals with adding photos using a hosting site. I use www.postimages.org

Cath

Postimage works on Android phone too if anyone doesn't have Apple products, would be the same for non Apple tablets also I suspect (choosing a resized image first)

Hope this is not off topic as it's an iPad guide

Regards Steve

Spot on tutorial for iPad and iPhone users.
I certainly prefer someone talking me through things rather than the written word as I lose concentration quickly.
So thanks for that 👍

Great tutorial, really very helpful. I use a PC in the office and a laptop when out and about, but I suppose an iPad is the way to go. I am sure this video will haelp many who truggle to follow text instructions ... a picture paints a thousand words .. well done, Liam OooO

Great video ::g

I've an additional tip which may help.

It's worth taking a few pictures of the same item each time, and reset the focus for each picture. Then when you are cropping/resizing you can see which of the pictures have the sharpest focus, and delete the others. Cropping and resizing works best when the original image is well focussed [:)

Brilliant video. Thanks ever so much for going to the trouble to create it.

Simple, clear and very informative.

Will save me firing up the PC to resize in Paint.
