The perfect Evolution Extreme Digging Blade Holster?

Post by Roland & Vicki » Fri Aug 26, 2016 12:57 am

Living in the USA now, I wanted to buy my wife a decent digging blade like my Evolution Extreme- There are none in the USA that match the Evolution Extreme in build quality or strength, so I ordered one but was disappointed when it arrived that it had no sheath with it- I see from the Auction listings that the blade and sheath are now sold separately but never thought to check when ordering it as when I got mine it came with a canvas sheath. Anyway- we did finally manage to find the perfect sheath/holster for it from a local DIY store here in the USA- and they are also available in the UK too - you can get them here - http://www.ffx.co.uk/tools/b/toughbuilt/1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - What you're looking for is the Large Pliers Pouch, @ £15.98. .This comes with a velcro flap at the base to hold longer tools so is great for the digging blade as dried soil can just fall out. It comes with an easy on & off clip that sits on your belt- a baddass piece of kit & very strong. Don't get the knife pouch- it's not long or broad enough.

So I got this for my wife and bought one for myself too- much better than the canvas sheath that came with it.
http://www.toughbuilt.com/product/pliers-pouch-large The Evolution Extreme blade fits in the pliers pouch perfectly with just the tip of the blade poking out the bottom, but it won't stab you- the velcro adjustment strap is behind the blade tip.

The leather sheath for it is nothing more than a scaffolders level holder i believe

The trouble with the thin canvas and leather ones is the sharp blade damages them really quickly. The one you've bought looks pretty robust ::g I went for one of the recycled plastic hard ones designed just for this blade and it has been brilliant. Still perfect after nearly a year ::g
