Metric excel grid file for logging finds - free resource

Post by Dave8472 »

Hi all, after reading Augusts’ “The Searcher” magazine there is a great article about recording your finds, one section shows details of taking pictures with reference to scale, I liked the idea of a metric printable scale, so whipped one up on the computer, you can download it here if you have Microsoft Excel

There are two spread sheets, one that does “mm” and one for “cm”. Only problem is printing scale is a bit tricky, there is a small error on the scale, more noticeable on the “mm” width page. Depending on your PC etc, you may need to alter the column width as apparently this is font linked ! Height should not be an issue. My Excel is set not to print grid lines, if yours is you might want to alter the file or your settings.

Anyway hope it is of some use to you, if not it’s free and nothing lost :)

Dave
