Burgon and Ball
Burgon and Ball
Im reading lots of good things about the Burgon & Ball range of spades. There seems to be range of designs. What do you use or recommend? Im looking at the small ground breaker spade in particular but open to thoughts on their other designs too. Thanks.

It's a couple of years old now, but perhaps this posting might be of some help?

I've used the small groundbreaker for a few years and it can handle all ground
conditions. Small refers to the overall length 98cm . The spade head is quite big
and does a great job.
I did try the border spade but the flat edge struggled on hard ground had to
get the angle grinder to shape a point on it.
The transplanting spade is great for digging deep holes on pasture but only comes
with the longer handle overall length 104cm and is a good bit heavier than the
others.
