Going wire free !!

Hi to all,
I'm still loving and using my original MAKRO RACER (RED)...but I'm contemplating doing away with the dangling curly cable of headphones.
I'm aware that Makro brought out a "dongle" for my machine but it was proven to be not so successful.
So, I'm open to suggestions as to what wire free headphones would be a recommendation for my machine.
Also, anyone using the wire free headphones on a racer (red).. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the subject.

The Garrett Z-Link system looks good. Well made and long battery life. They seem to do a very good job from the reports I have seen.

I have no idea whether the Z-lynk works with the Racer, but as Max says above it is a very nice piece of kit. I used it with my 400i and wouldn't have been without it.

Good for you. You fellows don't mountain goat or do the dew in the forest so.......go for it. Too costly here but fur the above would be great. let us know how it works!

I find the OK, perhaps a slight delay so once a target is located you may have to slow the swing a tad to pinpoint.

Claims to work on any headphone output.

Just ordered Garrett Zlynk, the one with the transmitter and wireless headphones but if you have good phones they do a wireless kit they can plug into. Both systems compatible with standard 1/4 inch jack plug or the smaller one with adapter.
Reviews look good and recommended here, (thanks chip!)

I'll post review of them after a bit.
