TDK WR700 Wireless Headphones. Any Good.??

Post by budwieser » Thu May 23, 2013 8:58 pm

As above, are the TDK WR700 Wireless Headphones worth the money as i`ve seen some of the good forum members on here have either had them or use them still, I`m fed up with treading on the bloody cord of my XP back phones.!!! B|
Any opinions please. Thanks.

hi bud as allectus said you might be better getting the wireless set for the xp . as with the tdk you have to keep some threshold hum otherwise they turn themselves off after 2mins of silence

I got a pair last Sunday for me birthday but not had chance to try the yet. They should work with my 705 as it has a threshold hum

Forgot to say - as long as you get a signal/chatter of some description they'll not turn off after a few minutes. Never been a problem with the ET due to the constant threshold hum. ::g

There is a slight lag on the T2, but I just got used to it, because once you've had

I plugged these into my x-terra705in the house tonight as I will not be out with them until Monday. Having the machine on indoors makes it sound off quite a bit so it seemed a good test.

Found the sound quality very good, much clearer than the Rapoos I have been using and I they were pretty decent.

Can't wait to try them in the field. Full review once I have done a day with them. ::g

Hi
Been using these Headphones with my ETrac and find I have no problems except they don't keep my ears as warm as the Grey Ghosts
Seriously tho, I have fitted a set of Peltor Ear Defender cups around them as I don't believe the TDK's are waterproof
START BY REMOVING THE CUPS FROM THE HEADBAND or NECKBAND ON THE PELTORS
Separate the casings by pulling apart Remove the sound proofing
Cut a slot in the top edge of the cup for the TDK headband
On one cup drill a small hole at the "P" in the cup to operate the off/on switch using a match or something similar
I'm trying to get a camera shutter release switch to fit to it . "Welcome other suggestions"
You only have to set the volume initially to suit you so you don't need to adjust it
The opposite side holds the batteries which need to be charged after about 3 days use but it is easy to separate the casing when it is needed
I am using a short 7 inch lead with an adapter between the headphone socket and the TDK transmitter
This is enclosed in a small plastic container
You need to drill a hole to fit the female end through and then seal it in position
Containers cost £1 for 3 in a well known store so you can have 3 attempts to get it right
The container is attached to, and is behind the arm cup or any where else that is suitable
Seems to work well for me
When the summer arrives " if ever" I will revert back to the originals to cool my ears again

These TDK headphones do sound rather appealing, just a quick question i am planning on using these on Pulse machine would these be a good option ?? or would i be wise in sticking with a normal set of high quality wired headphones.

They would be mainly used for hearing deep feint signals so was wondering if this would be OK.

Hi Bolddigger
I would appreciate your tip as well because if I wear a jacket with a hood fitted as suggested I find that when bending down my headphones get pulled off
