I can recommend Episodes 3 & 4 (ish) for "proper" detecting. The volume of stuff was rather staggering.

Last nights was about 12 foot down so maybe out of Bounty Hunter range, I do tell RRPG to upgrade with monotonous regularity!! =)) =))

However if he`s happy & it does what he wants then fair play to him. ::g

Thanks for all the kind comments.

Yes.....it was a Bounty Hunter. Love my Quick Draw II.....it has filled my garage with WW2 relics bless its little cotton socks.

My apologies for not publicising it here, but the walls have ears. Indeed, I wouldn't be at all surprised if my comments here are published on a number of websites and blogs.

So, with that in mind, we had two experienced field archaeologists with us at all times. All finds were recorded to within 2cm by a GPS system, reports produced and all finds catalogued. They advised on digging techniques, and on a number of occasions took over areas to perform broad area searches and dig pits to expose the ground strata and so determine the context of a number of finds.

Not only that but we displayed our finds at 2 separate military shows, and I shall be displaying them a lot more over the coming weeks, to ensure the public get to see our finds and learn about them.

We returned a number of relics to veterans and their relatives and told some unique stories about WW2 in the UK.

The next episode is a dump dig, so not much in the way of metal detecting, but all subsequent episodes have LOTS of metal detecting, so keep watching :) :) Oh, the next episode does have a relic returned to a veterans family and a unique story of an unsung hero told.

Watch second series last night via YouTube really enjoyed it . I found a air military fork at weekend 1941 bisby so enjoyed the spoon find . How long did u guys get to spend in the hidden dump in the woods ? We be good to see a little more of you guys in action with the metal detectors . RAF Halton isn't far from me so may ask about permission on the old air fields

Just watched episode 2, totally engrossed.
10 minutes in the Brylcreem bottle was the same as one I found on the surface on sunday. End of the programme there was a Sainsburys Bloater paste jar the same as one I found in the same place last year.
Really interesting, Suggs has a good presentation style and your explanations are very informative. Just the right mix, seen too many programmes ruined by one person larking around.
Cheers,
Dave.

Thanks both. There is one more episode that is a dump dig, then the other 5 are all MDing episodes so plenty of detecting to come.
