Hi unfortunately its a slightly different system now and these bungees will not fit the older version, I am guessing you maybe able to fiddle and adapt them somehow.
Cheers

: The Easy Swing

Don't get me wrong, I think the design is fantastic and it actually does work. Just when bending down it gets in the way. I only used it on top of my jacket so once un clipped and kneeling it does fall off. Any chance of a video showing the style you use? It could be of some use to others sitting on the fence.

The mk2 easy swing . Only 3 outing so far. Initially with hood of coat up it seemed to pull on my neck but with hood down soon forgot about it .I keep the easy swing attached to me / the detector through out the day . The strap you put around your non detector holding arm occasionly slips down depending on what u do with the detector when searching the hole. I tend to keep the detector strapped to my arm and dont place it on the ground and do everything left handed. A little giggle soon sorts strap out though Used on a 3030 minelab . A ok piece of kit. . x;

The new version is great, works well and is really handy, very glad I got this, when i start to pinpoint ican let go and my detector is suspended leaving me free to dig recover then easily stand then im off again even with Corded headphone on, keeps it close so does bot pull. Recommend strongly.

An old thread, I know, but I also bought one of the original Easy Swings and just loved using it; that is until the stretchy section became prone to over stretching and defeating the whole object of the Easy Swing.

I tried a couple of home made DIY versions but always ran into the problem of eventual over stretching.

I was in ALDI last month and spotted a strong dog collar made of nylon webbing and sporting an almost identical coupling system to the easy swing. Once home, having bought said dog collar, I found that the connection clip on the collar fitted nicely to the one on the easy swing 'but' upon allowing the weight of the Safari to hang freely the darned thing just kept coming unclipped.

After a wee bit of after thought, and some quick work with some scissors, I transferred the clip off the Easy Swing stretchy piece to replace the one on the dog collar and 'eureka' my Easy Swing was back in the swing of things.

Having now been out twice with my DIY adaptation of my Easy Swing I am quite happy with the results but haven't yet used anything heavier than the thirteen inch ultimate coil on the Safari.
The next step will be to try it out with the largest coil that I have for the Safari and see how things go.

I must confess that with the stretchy section on the Easy Swing it had a more comfortable feel to it. Perhaps they could have made the Easy Swing to accept interchangeable lower sections, or perhaps found a more reliable material for the giving the Easy Swing that free-floating feel.

In no way is this post a complaint, or a criticism of the Easy Swing, and if it is of help to anyone I will post pics and details of my dog collar. The girl on the till at ALDI was keen to learn what breed of dog I had and was a little confused when I told her that I didn't have a dog and that the collar wasn't for a dog! rl;
