Hello 'neil b', Have you considered the Garrett 'Z-Lynk system - it may be a good start point.ss47

One of the major retailers are doing the Garrett ms-3 z-Lynk kits for £130, don’t know if I am allowed to say who.

I was at a a dig today and speaking to a lady who has an Ace 250 and saw she had a Bluetooth setup (same as the link below) - she said it works perfectly, with no discernible lag in the signal -

£42 apparently for the bluetooth transmitter and headphones - dunno how this compares with other alternatives. Just a thought.

I have this device which I paired with some standard bluetooth headphones. If you read the reviews a lot of people use them for detecting successfully, but with mine they would disconnect every 15 mins or so. It only takes a few seconds to re-pair them but given you don't know when it disconnected as it doesn't give off a beat or anything i would have been swinging for a minute without knowing and only realise when I see the notches on the detector and no sound in the headphones.

While it's very cheap I ended up going back to good old wired ones as it was too unreliable.
