This was posted on a US forum. It seems likely to be the Infinium's successor.

Its the replacement for the 10 year old Infinium, being a Pulse machine its not your everyday detector so would have a limited audiance,if you spend time to master a PI detector they can be a very good addition to your detecting arsenal. But going by the Infinium price they wont be cheap like say the C-Scope pulse but then they are not in the same league only the technology is the same ::g

I run a euro ace at the minute which I love but I also live on the coast next to loads of beach's so have been looking into a PI machine, was going to buy the c-scope just last month...I think I will save a bit more and check this new Garrett out... :)

If you can stretch your budget and go for the new detector it could well be a good move, price wise nothing announced yet but going by the Infinium i would think it could well be about £1000+ which makes the price of a C-Scope very appealing.

By the time it gets over here with added taxes etc. you are going to be just under £2000 so I think I will be giving this one a miss. No pulse machine is worth that amount.

I looked at it on the Garret home site yesterday. Its not a cheap one that's for sure, and the weight at 5.5lbs is not too appealing but they have included a harness. Its a fold away in seconds so transporting
it is good. Not sure on the colour but you can not please everyone. 3 x coils available, comes with two
( if you get the deep seeker package) 12" +20" a hard case + extras. I can not see me getting this one.

Yes all you have to do is wash off all the sand under the fresh water tap to stop it jamming up as you come of the beach. Oh wait a minute our beaches do not have taps to rinse things off #-o

I wonder if they will make the Codan CTX3030 mistake of Drip, Drip feed advertising. :-L Jerry.

It will interesting to see how it works in the field.

not impressed with the colour.
2nd is weight and they have included a harness which is not a good sign.
Those cam locks will seize up in salt water unless the tread is very.
In the video it does not appear to have a skid plate.
price seems high, putting it into ctx3030 territory.

though do like the fact it folds up into small package.

be good to see some proper reviews on it.

The weight is even higher than listed here:
According to findmall the weight given initially on the Garrett informational site was wrong and is 6.9 lbs. (3.13 kg) including batteries.
Price of robustness?
Would make the CTX look light ...
