Garrett Pro Pointer problem

Post by Bargeman » Tue Oct 03, 2017 4:45 pm

My Garrett pro pointer is around six months old, but it has now started playing up, first of all, it started changing settings every time you turned it off, and now it either has no light, or it keeps the light on, even when turned off? and some times you can't turn it off without removing the battery.

Any ideas??

Sounds like some dodgy wiring, and being quite new it should be under warranty to get fixed. ::g

I'm no expert
But
I have been inside the on off button on a Garrett
It's just teeny wee bits of plastic
Mebbe worn out or something.
But as said above
Should be under warranty?
Cheers

I remember an issue where the battery needed an extra piece of packing in the cap to push the battery down firmer

Worth a try

A low battery can give similar issues but it sounds like there is a fault.
