Safari to Etrac

I have a Safari which I'm really getting the hang of. Finding lots and digging deep coins etc.
My questions to you all:

Would it be worth moving up to an Etrac?
Would it be a step up in performance?
Will any of you be buying a Equinox?

Just a curve ball here, but if you are thinking of upgrading to the etrac why not go all the way, and get a CTX, you can pick up a good used CTX with warranty for less than a new etrac

must say, I'm loving my CTX! It will be worth it. its not as complicated as they make out.

That sounds like a good idea. Any ideas where I might pick up a good used CTX from?

I would phone around the dealers, I got mine used from LP, but the used section in the back of the mags usually have one somewhere. Buying from a dealer you get peace of mind, and a short warranty.

True, and it'd be a leap into the unknown too, whereas the capabilities of the CTX are proven

...true - and I dont believe for one minute that Minelab would being out a detector costing half the price of the CTX and equip it with a faster processor (the CTX processor is 5 years old), lighter weight etc. It has to be inferior to the CTX does it?
