Pinpointing In Smooth Response

Post by Wigeon » Sun Jan 07, 2018 4:13 pm

As I have seen so many recommendations for using the 'smooth' response with conductive multi-tones, I have been giving it a try.
I am starting to understand why 'smooth' is recommended, however I am making a real mess of pinpointing with it. I use the 'wiggle' method normally.
I hardly ever need to use the actual pinpoint facility when detecting in 'normal' response, but struggling in 'smooth'.
Any pearls of wisdom please or is it just a case of sticking at it until the penny drops ?

Use the pinpoint button....the response is 'normal' in that mode. ::g
