I had a longer outing with the cs1mx today, and was rewarded with about 13 coins and a police whistle! A Vicky penny was among the coins which I did my usual and re buried it at over my pinpointer depth , and it hit it! It honestly has really surprised me with it's depth, it was raining today, I read another review here that says it's semi rain proof so a bag over it and I wasn't rained off.
Very light and fast response, the coil is only 8 inches so I was surprised it punched down as deep as it did I ran it quite hot, and it was on all metal but still. Very pleased with it. I kind of knew it would be a good machine anyway it's going to make a very good second machine I won't call it a back up because it's so easy and good to use I'll use it a lot, anyone out there looking for a in expensive detector with good performance look no further these are great
