1) Which Beach - Barton's Point (Sheerness)

2) Which area - Isle of Sheppey, Kent

3) Is metal detecting allowed - Yes*

4) Is a Permit Required - No

Beware new SSSI restrictions, map attached

*Although not part of the Crown foreshore permit, detecting is allowed, confirm with local council before going. Free above beach parking

Somehow they do not look like holes dug when detecting. No spoil and the are very round and all look the same depth. My hole never look like that, before I fill them in.

Industrial grass cutter will suck them out with the clippings if dried out

They do look very neat holes…
