Hi i was wondering if someone might tell me if this coin can be cleaned better, or will i make it worse, thank you

my pictures definitely need to improve, someone give me advice early, and it completely left me [34/] ill get some better pictures tomorrow, thanks

Probably not. The surface patina contains all the detail and it's already coming off. You might reveal more detail by stabilising the surface but this is a bit hit and miss without the experience to judge what is the best treatment to use. [81/]

As Fred says, looks to have a green patina- this should be preserved where possible. With finds like this , once surface mud/soil etc has been removed down to the patina- look to keep it. Look at something like renaissance waz or paraloid b72 or something along those lines.

Thanks for the comments, its my first coin like this i have found, definitely dont want to make it worse, i will try the wax, its not to expensive either
